The Phone Call That Started Everything

It was an evening in Sydney, Australia. 2016. My phone rang. It was Rick.

"Let's build a place. A home. A dream. In the middle of nowhere. In a village called Tosh."

Tosh Village — a remote spot in Parvati Valley, hidden 2,500 meters above sea level, where roads ended and trails began. A place with a wild reputation and zero infrastructure.

"Why Tosh?"

When I asked Rick why, his answer was simple:

"Because it's untouched... because when we build it, it won't just be a resort... it'll be a legend."

The Reality of Building a Dream

We proceeded without extensive planning, carrying only ambition. What followed was every entrepreneur's nightmare and education rolled into one.

Hundreds of mistakes. Overshooting budgets. Wrong estimates. Wasting finances. Enough to write a whole book titled "What NOT to Do Before Starting a Business!"

But here's the thing — what we earned and converted the opportunity into is something money can't buy: lifelong friendships and lessons we will never forget.
